Licensing board sets holiday alcohol hours
The New Bedford Licensing Board has set the hours for the sale of alcoholic beverages for Thanksgiving Eve and Day, Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Eve and Day.
On Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, Nov. 23, hotels, restaurants, taverns and clubs may operate on normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Retail package stores may sell or deliver alcoholic beverages from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, hotels, restaurants, taverns and clubs may operate on normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Retail package stores may not sell or deliver alcoholic beverages on this day.
On Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24, hotels, restaurants, taverns and clubs may operate on normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Retail package stores may sell or deliver alcoholic beverages from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
On Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25, hotels, restaurants, taverns and clubs may operate from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Retail package stores may not sell or deliver alcoholic beverages on this day.
On the day after Christmas, Monday, Dec. 26, hotels, restaurants, taverns and clubs may operate on normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Retail package stores may sell or deliver alcoholic beverages during normal business hours on this day.
On New Year’s Eve Day, Saturday, Dec. 31, hotels, restaurants, taverns and clubs may operate on normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sale of alcohol must end at 2 a.m. No open bar functions are allowed.
On New Year’s Day, Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, hotels, restaurants, taverns and clubs may operate on normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Retail package stores may sell or deliver alcoholic beverages during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on this day.
