11 newly promoted officers celebrated at the 8th New Bedford Police Department Promotional Ceremony

The New Bedford Police Department celebrated the promotions of 11 officers. The ceremony was held on Friday, March 1st, 2019 at the Keith Middle School. Promoted on that day were Paul DaCosta to Captain, Jason Gomes to Lieutenant, Stanley Chaberek to Lieutenant, Emanuel Cabral to Lieutenant, Daniel Amaral to Sergeant, Jarrod Gracia to Sergeant, Kurtis Gonsalves to Sergeant, Jaime Wotton to Sergeant, Barry Pacheco to Sergeant, Tyrone Jones to Sergeant, and Russell Marques to Sergeant. The audience included family, friends, and colleagues of the officers promoted, along with Mayor Jonathan Mitchell, City Council President Linda Morad, City Councilor Scott Lima and our own Police Chaplain, Reverend David Lima. We want to congratulate and wish our newly promoted officers well.
