NBPD hosting a Citizens’ Police Academy in the Fall.

The New Bedford Police Department will be hosting another Citizens’ Police Academy in the Fall. The Academy will be held weekly during the evening hours at the New Bedford Police Headquarters, located at 871 Rockdale Ave. The exact dates and time are yet to be determined.

Anyone 18 years of age and older who is interested should complete an application which can be obtained on the department’s website. Visit newbedfordpd.com and click forms, then Citizens’ Police Academy.

Applications may be dropped off at any police station: Station 1, 572 Rockdale Ave.; Station 2, 168 Cove St.; Station 3, 781 Ashley Blvd.; and Police Headquarters, 871 Rockdale Ave. Applications may also be sent to Ricard.Rezendes@newbedfordpd.com.
