Change and progress light the path for promotions and new officers

Change and progress were the prevalent themes during the New Bedford Police Dept.’s 11th Promotions Ceremony Tuesday at Keith Middle School on Feb. 15. The event honored Lt. Mark Giammalvo, Sgt. Annemarie Lefevre and Sgt. Alan Faber, who were formally “pinned” by family members.
Alongside the promotions were new officers Andy Pereira, Vincent Peters, and Matthew Greathead who were sworn in as patrol officers and Officer Marc Conley who was presented with the Chief’s Award. Also endowed with the Chief’s Award in absentia is Officer Paul Pires.
