Cocaine and Firearm Seized From Cove Street Residence

New Bedford, MA – Narcotics detectives have arrested a local man on drug and firearm charges.

On Friday, August 16th, Det. Matthew Couture concluded his investigation into a cocaine delivery service operating out of 118 Cove St., apartment #2, with the execution of a search warrant. The target of the investigation was KOLBY McCOY, 25.

As a result of the search that was conducted, McCOY was found to be in possession of a small amount of “crack” cocaine along with a digital scale, packaging material, cutting agent, and over $7k that was seized as a result of the nature of his charges. McCOY also had a Glock 9mm handgun loaded with 17 rounds of ammunition for which he has no license.

McCOY was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a large-capacity firearm, and possession of ammunition.
