Progress Tracker

Welcome to the New Bedford Police Department’s progress and updates page. This page provides an overview of several ongoing initiatives within the department, including the implementation of recommendations from the 21st Century Policing (21CP) assessment as well as key operational goals established by Chief Jason Thody. These trackers are intended to provide transparency into the work being done to strengthen policies, improve operations, and enhance the services we provide to the community.

As the department continues to review, update, and modernize its practices, we want the public to be able to follow that progress. Our goal is to ensure the community can come along on this journey with us and see the steps being taken as we implement changes and continue working to strengthen the department.

We will be updating these trackers continuously as progress is made.
